The rules for using TOVO PRO — what we do, what we do not do, and what everyone using the platform agrees to.

These terms apply whenever you use TOVO PRO, whether on the web or in the mobile app. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
TOVO PRO is a marketplace. We introduce customers to independent local companies, and we provide the tools they use to talk, quote and agree work. We are not a builder, plumber, cleaner or any other trade, and we are not a party to the contract you make with a company.
That means the company is responsible for the work, its quality, its price and its guarantee. We verify the business details a company gives us and we act on reports, but we do not supervise the work itself.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
You must give accurate information. Creating an account with someone else's identity, or a business you are not entitled to represent, is grounds for immediate removal.
Company plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include any tax where required.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund a partial period unless the law requires it. If a payment fails we will retry it and tell you; if it keeps failing the subscription moves to the free tier rather than being deleted.
A review can only be written by the customer of a job that was actually completed through the platform. That restriction is enforced by the system, not by moderation, which is what makes the ratings mean something.
Reviews must describe your own experience. We remove reviews that contain personal data about a third party, unlawful content, or abuse — but we do not remove a review for being negative, and a company cannot pay to have one taken down. A company may reply once, publicly.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of the text and photos you post. You give us a licence to host and display them for the purpose of running the service — showing your request to matched companies, your gallery on your profile, your review on a company page. That licence ends when the content is removed, except where it has already been included in a copy someone else lawfully holds.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, that is the subject of credible reports, or that we are legally required to act on. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You can close your account at any time.
We provide the platform as it is. We do not promise that a request will receive quotes, that a company will accept a job, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for the work a company does or fails to do, and our liability to a company is limited to the subscription fees it paid in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you can close your account.
