Why we built it
Most people find a tradesperson the same way: they ask around, get one name, and hope. If that falls through, the alternatives are a directory full of businesses that paid to be listed, or a search result full of ratings nobody can trace to an actual job.
Neither tells you what you need to know, which is simply: has this company done this kind of work, near me, for someone who was satisfied afterwards?
So we built the marketplace around that question. Companies are verified before they can quote. Ratings come only from completed jobs. And the whole thing costs the customer nothing, because the customer is not the product.
What we hold to
Each of these is enforced by the product, not just written down.
Verified before they can quote
Every company submits its business registration, and a trade licence where the work requires one, before it can take on a job. A reviewer checks the documents; the documents stay private and the badge is what you see.
Reviews only from real jobs
A review can only be left by the customer of a job that was completed on the platform. Not by anyone with an account, not by the company itself, and not by whoever shouts loudest. That single restriction is what makes a rating here worth reading.
Free for the person paying for the work
Customers never pay us — not to post a request, not to receive quotes, not to accept one. Companies subscribe for access to leads. Nobody is paying us to be recommended to you.
Local, and specific about it
Matching is by city and service, not by whoever bid highest for the keyword. A company that does not cover your area will not be shown to you, however much it would like to be.
City by city, not all at once
We launched in northern New Jersey and are expanding city by city — a marketplace with no companies in your town helps nobody, so we open a city when there are enough verified businesses in it to give you a real choice.
